We are hiring for a Laboratory Assistant in the pharmaceutical industry here in the Columbus, Ohio area! This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who is looking to grow in the field!

An ideal candidate will have prior laboratory experience of some kind (from industry or some schooling), or experience as a Pharmacy Technician. We would also be open to considering other candidates depending on background. Candidate for this role should have at least a High School Diploma, GED, or Associates Degree in a Science.

A Bachelors Degree would be overqualified for this role, but could be a fit for some other more technical positions we have available, so still feel free to apply!

Job Title: R&D Lab Assistant

Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday

Description:

  • Will be helping support the Scientists with daily lab tasks and preparation
  • Help with daily sample prep, and weighing samples
  • Will eventually help with some minor lab testing - ph, dilutions, wet chemistry
  • Help with cleaning glassware and stocking inventory in the R&D labs
  • Follows work instructions, SOPs and company practices.
  • Documents analytical activities and results accurately, in a timely manner and right-first time and maintains integrity of data.
  • Follows written analytical procedures. Identifies execution challenges of analytical methods and support trouble shooting activities.

Qualifications:

We would consider a couple of different backgrounds, including:

  • High School Diploma or GED with laboratory or Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Associates Degree in a Scientific fields

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
