Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
A progressive, full-service animal hospital in Rock Springs, Wyoming is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join its team of three experienced doctors. This established practice serves a wide variety of patients and offers the flexibility for you to tailor your caseload. Species commonly seen include cats, dogs, horses, cows, goats, sheep, birds, small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, though the chosen focus will depend on your interests.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with no weekend hours required. Flexible scheduling allows veterinarians to balance professional goals with personal time while maintaining a rewarding caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and diagnostic care with the option to focus on the species and cases that best align with their skills and interests. Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced procedures, interpreting diagnostics, creating individualized treatment plans, and building lasting client relationships. Structured mentorship is available for newer graduates, particularly in emergency and orthopedic surgeries, while experienced veterinarians will have opportunities to pursue advanced areas of interest.

Practice Details
This well-equipped hospital supports both small and large animal medicine with an Idexx in-house laboratory, digital radiography, Wisonic ultrasound, endoscopy, therapeutic K-laser, acupuncture supplies, a CO surgical laser, and advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical equipment. The small animal surgery suite includes integrated digital imaging and dedicated technician support, ensuring seamless patient care.

The hospital's three veterinarians are supported by a highly skilled staff, including technicians with over a decade of experience. With a strong 4:1 tech-to-doctor ratio, the team fosters a collaborative, community-centered environment that prioritizes efficiency, mentorship, and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
