Swim Instructors (Part-time)

Swim Instructors (Part-time) Shift Needed: Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ($11.00 per hour to start for Saturdays) Tuesday evenings 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evenings 5-7 p.m. Thursday evenings 6-7 p.m. Pay Rate: No experience- $10.50 to start $12-$15/hr. for certified instructors (must be 16 to be certified) The Y is a leading non-profit for strengthening community, and the nation's longest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes. Minimum age - 15 years old - with swimming experience

• Lifeguard Certification is preferred
• Certifications a plus - CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid

Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA Standards- swim 4 of the 6 strokes in good form. All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them. Free clearances are based on a six-month retention.
