Primary Responsibilities
This position assists with various functions within the Billing Services Department which primarily include:
• Accurately manage the general ledger functions for local and national self-funded accounts, InterPlan Teleprocessing (ITS), reinsurance, long term care (LTC), and prescription drug rebates
• Manage billing functions to ensure operational compliance
• Post routine transactions to the general ledger
• Perform basic account reconciliations and financial analysis
• Administer and adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures in the administration of those functions
• Develop accurate billing processes to meet the needs and vision of the Corporation
• Seek new solutions to improve flexibility and efficiency
Summary of Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Two years of accounting or auditing experience
• Proficiency in personal computer skills including Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a position organizing and prioritizing tasks
• Experience in a position meeting strict goals and deadlines
• Experience in a position analyzing information to solve problems
• Technical skills necessary to learn accounting software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
• Experience in a position using SQL or other comparable query software preferred
