Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain optimization , is seeking a highly analytical, selfdriven Global Customer Logistics Analyst to support international ocean transportation optimization initiatives in Maplewood, MN . This role is ideal for a candidate who excels in Power BI development, global logistics analytics, and cross-functional execution. The analyst will play a key role in improving container utilization, consolidation strategies, and overall transportation performance across international trade lanes.
Job Title: Global Customer Logistics Analyst Location: Maplewood, MN 55144 [ Hybrid: Minimum 2 days onsite per week, Travel: Up to 10% (Domestic & International)] Pay Range: $40$42/HR W2 + Benefits Contract Duration: 12Month W2 Contract (Potential extension or conversion) ( No C2C) Key Responsibilities:- Develop, enhance, and manage Power BI dashboards , prioritization tools, scorecards, and reporting assets to support international transportation decisionmaking.
- Analyze order- and shipment-level data to identify utilization gaps, consolidation opportunities, and costtoserve improvements across global ocean freight networks.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive audiences.
- Quantify financial impacts, including load factor improvements and consolidation savings, in partnership with Finance.
- Lead initiatives to improve FCL utilization , optimizing container fill, loading patterns, and shipment cadence across global trade lanes.
- Support optimization of MOQ, palletization, and shipment frequency to stabilize and improve network efficiency.
- Partner with manufacturing sites, distribution centers, consolidation points, freight forwarders, and 3PLs to ensure feasibility and alignment with ocean freight strategies.
- Drive adoption of standardized customer and site shipping calendars.
- Execute structured project plans across multiple streams, including scope, milestones, risks, communication, and implementation.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Global Logistics, Customer Engagement, Transportation, Planning, Packaging, IT/Data, and external logistics partners.
- Present insights, progress updates, and performance summaries to stakeholders and leadership groups.
- Contribute to playbooks, governance documents, and standardized operating models for scalable execution.
- Handson Power BI expertise (must be able to build dashboards from scratchcritical skill).
- Demonstrated experience in global ocean logistics , including FCL strategies, container utilization, and international freight processes.
- Strong analytical and datahandling skills; able to work with raw datasets and build decisionsupport tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred), logistics visibility tools, and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and collaborate across global, crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholderengagement skills.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business, or related field.
