MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sr. Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.

Responsibilities : Include but are not limited to:

• Ability to analyze users requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements
• Provide Tier 1-3 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the clients/servers/network devices.
• Provide support for the patching systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
• Ability to support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/ Accreditation process
• Ability to install Windows software and hardware applications; upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide help desk customer service via phone, or tickets
• Must be able to work late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or an associates degree and fifteen and 15 years of relevant experience or a highschool diploma with 20 years of related experience
• Experience with Windows OS and software and hardware applications
• IAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP
• Strong command-line skills with Bash and Python scripting; experience in using Ansible and Salt for automation
• Experienced in integrating Linux into Windows environments using Active Directory (SSSD, LDAP and Centrify).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SCANBOY or LatteArt
• Familiarity with solutions to complex IT problems

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
• Must be a US Citizen

Physical Requirements:

• The candidate should be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customers desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
