The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sr. Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.
Responsibilities : Include but are not limited to:
- Ability to analyze users requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements
- Provide Tier 1-3 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the clients/servers/network devices.
- Provide support for the patching systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Ability to support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/ Accreditation process
- Ability to install Windows software and hardware applications; upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide help desk customer service via phone, or tickets
- Must be able to work late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or an associates degree and fifteen and 15 years of relevant experience or a highschool diploma with 20 years of related experience
- Experience with Windows OS and software and hardware applications
- IAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP
- Strong command-line skills with Bash and Python scripting; experience in using Ansible and Salt for automation
- Experienced in integrating Linux into Windows environments using Active Directory (SSSD, LDAP and Centrify).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SCANBOY or LatteArt
- Familiarity with solutions to complex IT problems
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
- Must be a US Citizen
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customers desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
