Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice in New Jersey hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a modern, well-equipped hospital focused on high-quality medicine and compassionate care. This practice offers flexibility in clinical focus, allowing veterinarians to work exclusively with feline patients or see both cats and dogs, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Both full-time and part-time options are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal medical care across wellness, sick visits, and surgical cases. Clinical responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illness and injury, conducting dental and surgical procedures, utilizing diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory services, and communicating clearly with clients to support informed decision-making.

Practice Details
This is a full-service small animal hospital offering a broad range of general and advanced services. The facility was thoughtfully designed with separate spaces for feline and canine patients, including dedicated waiting areas, exam rooms, treatment spaces, and surgical suites. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics, dental facilities, and two surgical suites, with additional offerings in holistic medicine and acupuncture. Services span wellness and preventive care, diagnostics and imaging, dentistry, spay and neuter, soft tissue and advanced surgery, laser therapy, pharmacy services, acupuncture, medical grooming, and parasite prevention.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of four DVMs and a fantastic support staff, maintaining an approximate 2:1 support staff to doctor ratio. The environment is collaborative and well-structured, with skilled technicians and dedicated client service representatives allowing veterinarians to focus on practicing excellent medicine.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
