Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
• Service and maintain electrical systems, including both single-phase and three-phase power
• Install and run new electrical circuits in compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Perform basic HVAC repairs and carry out preventive maintenance tasks
• Conduct general facilities maintenance as needed
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve performance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards

Required Experience:

• Maintain equipment, systems, and facilities in operational condition through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and installation of replacement parts
• Accurately document maintenance activities and follow established policies and procedures
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to support equipment and facility repairs
• Utilize knowledge of CNC controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and computer-based systems for diagnostics, maintenance tracking, and inventory management
• Install and run new electrical circuits while working with single-phase and three-phase systems in compliance with applicable codes
• Perform basic HVAC repairs and preventive maintenance
• Operate machine tools (mills, lathes) and perform welding and fabrication to repair or replace components
• Use powered vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and effectively for maintenance tasks
• Maintain facility appearance and accessibility, including grounds upkeep, minor painting, and seasonal tasks such as ice and snow removal
• Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical wiring, conduit fabrication, appliances, and HVAC systems
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work
• Apply working knowledge of electrical systems and relevant standards (e.g., NEC)
• Complete facility support tasks such as moving materials, setting up furniture, and preparing spaces for meetings
• Perform duties safely and independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity and quality standards
• Demonstrate strong work ethics, reliability, motivation, and attention to detail
• Work effectively and professionally with a diverse team
• Remain flexible and composed under pressure in fast-paced or stressful situations
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff, as well as external service providers and contractors
