Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Active Missouri State License required to start the assignment. Compact license accepted if applicable.
  • Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a skilled nursing facility or long-term care rehabilitation setting is required.
  • Knowledge of PDPM (Patient-Driven Payment Model) is required.
  • New graduates are not accepted for this position.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Preferred: Experience assessing high-acuity patients and working in interdisciplinary team leadership. Preferred: prior Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) responsibilities or assisting DOR duties.

Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Pattern: Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts per week.
  • Shift Times: Start time should be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM; times are flexible when consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.
  • Weekend Requirement: No weekends.
  • Role Focus: Assessing therapist with a lighter caseload and some Director of Rehabilitation responsibilities including attending morning and facility meetings and assisting with scheduling.
