Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian. This practice provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets, with a particular focus on rabbits. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a schedule designed to support work-life balance. Hospital opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. The structure allows for extended weekends throughout the month and flexibility within the rota.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering medical, dental, and surgical care across a varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, pain management, and complementary therapies. The role also includes working with pocket pets and exotic mammals, particularly rabbits, as well as supporting rehabilitation and wellness services. The position can be tailored to suit both new graduates seeking mentorship and experienced veterinarians looking to develop special interests.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service veterinary facility equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including ultrasound, digital radiography, EKG, an in-house laboratory, advanced surgical facilities, hydrotherapy with an underwater treadmill, and complementary therapies such as acupuncture. The practice places a strong emphasis on preventative care, personalized treatment plans, and community involvement, including collaboration with rescue groups. The culture is supportive, upbeat, and focused on providing high-quality care in a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a great support team. The environment is collaborative and positive, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, mentorship, and maintaining an enjoyable workplace while delivering excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
