Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal general practice team. This well-established practice delivers compassionate, high-quality care and is looking to welcome a veterinarian to support its loyal and growing client base.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian provides comprehensive, high-quality medical care within a general practice setting. Responsibilities include performing wellness and sick examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, managing acute and chronic medical cases, interpreting laboratory results and radiographs, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. The role includes educating clients on preventative care, discussing diagnoses and treatment options, and ensuring clear communication regarding medical recommendations and follow-up care. The Associate Veterinarian collaborates closely with technicians and support staff, maintains thorough and accurate medical records, practices evidence-based medicine, and upholds the highest standards of patient care and professionalism. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is a well-established general practice with a strong reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a collaborative and team-oriented setting. There is a strong emphasis on education, communication, and building lasting client relationships. The facility is well-equipped with digital radiography including dental, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, ultrasound, therapeutic laser including Companion Cold Laser Therapy, and a modern surgical suite and dental area. Services focus on wellness, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.
Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by four Certified Veterinary Technicians. The environment promotes collaboration and teamwork, with support staff working closely alongside veterinarians to maintain efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
