Urgent Care Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their small animal team. This facility focuses specifically on urgent veterinary care, providing timely treatment for acute conditions in a setting designed to bridge the gap between general practice and emergency hospitals.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday through Sunday from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The quality of medicine practiced at the Wyomissing location centers specifically on urgent veterinary care. You will gain deep experience managing crucial cases such as toxin ingestion, skin allergies, dehydration, upper respiratory issues, and acute gastrointestinal illnesses including diarrhea and vomiting. The hospital intentionally triages the most severe, life-threatening emergencies, such as major trauma or respiratory distress requiring overnight hospitalization, to 24/7 emergency facilities. This defined scope of practice allows veterinarians to focus on swift diagnostics and precise urgent treatments while mastering a high-impact medical workflow each day. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

The hospital fills the essential gap between general practice and emergency rooms, offering timely and specialized care for acute illnesses and urgent walk-in needs. Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a strong and supportive staff structure. The environment promotes teamwork and efficient workflow, with support staff working closely alongside veterinarians to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of urgent patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
