Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive care to dogs and cats, delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine within a structured and supportive environment. This opportunity is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, offering the chance to practice progressive medicine while building lasting client relationships.
Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will lead patient care from diagnosis through treatment, managing wellness visits, preventative medicine, diagnostic workups, urgent cases, and surgical procedures. Responsibilities include educating and empowering clients, collaborating closely with the paraprofessional team, and maintaining high medical standards in line with AAHA accreditation guidelines. The role provides exposure to advanced and complex cases, including orthopedic procedures such as TPLO for canine cruciate ligament rupture. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital offers Wellness & Prevention, Testing & Diagnostics, Advanced Care, Surgical Procedures, Urgent Care, Pet Boarding & Daycare, and specialized orthopedic procedures including TPLO for ACL rupture. AAHA accreditation ensures adherence to rigorous standards in surgery, exam facilities, emergency services, anesthesiology, and diagnostic imaging. The hospital provides the infrastructure and resources necessary to manage both routine and advanced medical and surgical cases within a quality-driven framework.
Team
The practice currently has 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative, caring environment where professional growth and high standards of medicine are prioritized.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
