Our client is a clinic seeking a Medical Director to lead a well-established small animal practice while remaining clinically active. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine in the exam room and surgery suite while providing steady, approachable leadership. The clinic focuses on comprehensive companion animal care across all life stages, including wellness, surgery, specialty services, and reproductive medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The role offers flexibility for full-time or part-time arrangements. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide high-quality medical and surgical care to companion animals, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, dentistry, and surgery. Surgical experience is essential, with a strong emphasis on reproduction medicine. The position requires remaining clinically active while leading by example in medical standards and ethical decision-making. Responsibilities include mentoring associate veterinarians through daily guidance and collaboration, supporting medical protocol compliance, maintaining accurate medical records, and fostering a positive, team-centered culture. The role also involves clear and compassionate client communication, including preventive care guidance and end-of-life support. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details
The clinic delivers comprehensive small animal services designed to support pets from their first wellness visits through senior care. Services include Pet Wellness Care, Pet Surgical Procedures, Pet Stem Cell and PRP Prolo therapy, Pet Specialty Services for complex diagnoses and treatments, and Pet Reproductive Services. The practice supports strong technician utilization, realistic scheduling, and clinical autonomy, allowing veterinarians to practice high-quality medicine without pressure to rush cases.

The clinic currently has 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, creating an environment where leadership impact is direct and collaboration is central to maintaining a positive, low-drama culture.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
