Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeing cats and dogs and is currently hiring for a Medical Director. This role combines hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibility, offering an opportunity to guide and support the medical team while continuing to practice high-quality general practice medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. The position is full-time, with doctor hours open to discussion, allowing for some flexibility around scheduling.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This Medical Director position includes the full scope of general practice clinical responsibilities alongside leadership duties. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who can provide clinical guidance, uphold medical standards, and support the wider team while delivering comprehensive GP care. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped and AAHA accredited, supporting a full scope of general practice services. In addition to standard GP care, the practice also offers laser therapy, enabling a broad and varied caseload within a well-supported clinical environment.

Team
The practice is supported by a team of four DVMs and a tenured group of support staff. The established team structure allows for collaboration and continuity of care, providing a stable and experienced working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
