Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their full-service small animal team treating dogs and cats. This hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care and is looking to welcome a veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Working Hours / Rota
The position is available full-time or part-time. The hospital is open Mon 8am - 6:30pm, Tue/Wed/Friday 8am - 5pm, Thursday 8am - 6pm, Saturday 8am - 12pm and closed on Sunday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian provides comprehensive, high-quality medical care within a general practice setting. Responsibilities include performing wellness and sick examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, managing acute and chronic medical cases, interpreting laboratory results and radiographs, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. The role includes educating clients on preventative care, discussing diagnoses and treatment options, and ensuring clear communication regarding medical recommendations and follow-up care. The Associate Veterinarian collaborates closely with technicians and support staff, maintains thorough and accurate medical records, practices evidence-based medicine, and upholds the highest standards of patient care and professionalism. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary facility providing medical, surgical, and dental care. It is equipped with laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, radiology (X-ray), ultrasound, and anesthesia capabilities. Services include annual physical exams, dental care, end-of-life care, laboratory diagnostics, laser therapy, radiology, senior pet care, vaccinations, and a wide range of surgical procedures from spay and neutering to orthopedic needs.

Team
The team consists of six DVMs supported by 11 staff members, including three Certified Veterinary Technicians. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong technician presence that enables efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
