Responsibilities:

• Lead third-shift operations by setting clear expectations, providing direction, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards through regular inspections, safety meetings, and strict adherence to protocols, while proactively identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions
• Oversee daily waste processing, sorting, and transportation activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with operational standards
• Coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to maintain seamless shift transitions and optimize the use of equipment and resources
• Monitor the safe operation of equipment including forklifts, loaders, and balers, conduct routine inspections, and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime
• Provide hands-on training for new employees and ongoing coaching to existing staff to reinforce best practices and improve overall performance
• Track productivity, safety metrics, and shift performance, and prepare detailed reports highlighting progress, challenges, and areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in waste management, recycling, or logistics environments
• Experience operating or supervising heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, or front-end loaders
• Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to learn and perform multiple plant roles and processes
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Availability to work evening shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred to effectively support a diverse workforce
