Location: Ravenswood, WV
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional overtime and emergency support)

 Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to support a client in Ravenswood, WV. This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational IT skills who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and providing excellent end-user support in a professional environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 / Level 2 technical support for end users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on PCs and related devices
  • Assist users with Microsoft products, including Office 365 applications
  • Diagnose and resolve printing and peripheral device issues
  • Support basic networking and Wi-Fi connectivity problems
  • Perform system setups, installations, and basic configurations
  • Document issues, resolutions, and updates in ticketing systems
  • Escalate more complex issues when necessary
  • Provide occasional support for basic server-related tasks
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 environments
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi)
  • Experience troubleshooting printers and common office hardware
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite in Ravenswood, WV

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Basic familiarity with Active Directory and user account management

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work occasional overtime or respond to emergency support needs
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with end users
