Lead / VP Python AI/ML Developer

Kforce's client in Columbus, OH is hiring multiple Lead/VP Python AI/ML Developer where you will play a crucial role in an Agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key Tasks:

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks
• Executes solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Work in an Agile development environment with team members, including Product Owners
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations
• Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus and actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the end-to-end development life cycle
• Influence peers and project decision makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python or Go
• Practical cloud native experience
• Exposure/Experience with AI developer tools & tech include code assistants (GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Cursor), AI-powered IDEs (Cursor, Replit), specialized agents (Devin, Cline for dev workflows), and platforms for ML/NLP (Hugging Face)
• Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of network engineering and firewall technology preferred
