We are seeking a Senior-level Mechanical/Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Services group, acting as a key technical resource and authority in pipe stress analysis, pipe support design, and structural systems.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced pipe stress analysis and support design for industrial, HVAC, power, and process systems.
- Build and analyze analytical models using Bentley AutoPIPE or CAESAR II.
- Review customer drawings and specifications to identify stress issues, failure risks, and vibration concerns.
- Develop engineered solutions to mitigate vibration, thermal movement, seismic loads, and structural stresses.
- Design custom support and isolation systems aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
- Produce professional engineering calculations, analysis packages, and technical reports.
- Support customer submittals and technical reviews.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring within a small engineering group.
- Collaborate with internal manufacturing and operations teams to ensure practical, buildable designs.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously with strong procedural and organizational discipline.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on pipe stress analysis and support design experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a Senior, lead, or technical leadership capacity.
- Strong working experience with Bentley AutoPIPE or CAESAR II.
- Ability to independently evaluate customer diagrams and apply engineering judgment to real-world conditions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and practical design application.
- Experience with ASME B31 piping codes.
- Knowledge of structural loading including seismic, wind, and thermal effects.
- Strong understanding of anchor design, restraint behavior, and vibration isolation principles.
- Masters degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
- Experience with SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA tools.
- Experience with RAM Elements and/or STAAD Pro.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in the future.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional communication with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Procedural, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading without formal people management.
This office-based engineering role is located in Dublin, OH, offering a hybrid schedule available after onboarding. Expected onsite presence is three days per week, with typical work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No travel is required.
