This position is full-time, in-person at our office located on the beautiful inner harbour in Victoria, BC.
What you will do
- Participate in the month-end close with the accounting team
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments
- Complete revenue recognition and customer invoicing
- Review and assist in employee payroll processing
- Assist in the execution of the month-end close, account reconciliations, and maintenance of journal entry logs
- Prepare monthly assigned account reconciliations. Ensure that all accounting departmental records are accurate and well-organized
- Initiate recommendations for improvement and efficiencies
- Provide analysis as requested
- Assist in other projects as assigned
Qualities & experience you bring:
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance
- 2-3 years of related experience, preferably in tax preparation, audit preparation, and analysis
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and proactiveness
- "Roll-up sleeves" approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
- Commitment to excellence, impeccable ethical standards, and integrity

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000
Compensation will be determined by factors including knowledge and skills, role-specific qualifications, market location, and experience
