The HCS Group is a leading provider of mobile radiology services, and we’re expanding our team! We are seeking a dependable and personable full-time Radiology Scheduling Coordinator to join our Plymouth, MI headquarters.
This role begins with on-site training for a minimum of 90 days. Based on demonstrated performance, reliability, and business needs, there is an opportunity to transition to a fully remote position.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Position Overview
As a Radiology Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams. This is a fast-paced, phone-intensive role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage high-volume, multi-line phone systems
- Collect, verify, and enter patient information accurately across multiple systems
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with patients, hospitals, and insurance providers
- Obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Support team members and collaborate with colleagues as needed
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of medical office experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with prior authorizations
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and math skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC (EMR system)
- Radiology or diagnostic imaging experience
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
