Job Description

HTI is recruiting an experienced Staff Accountant for a growing international manufacturing company located near Grovetown, GA. This is a direct hire, full-time, onsite position. The salary range is $65,000 - $70,000 /year, depending on education and experience. Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Requirements:

Must have 3+ years of recent experience as an Accountant/Staff Accountant
Must have accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Recent experience should include reconciliations, general ledger, variance/data analysis, monthly financial reports, audit preparation, and month-end closing processes
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in MS Access is strongly preferred
Previous experience with an ERP accounting system
Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
Experience tracking fixed assets and audit preparation is a plus
Candidates must be currently located in the Greater Augusta, GA/ Grovetown, GA area

Job duties include:

Assist with the month-end close process, verifying that all accounting data is accurate and up to date
Create, maintain, and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance analysis reports
Reconcile the monthly balance sheet
Maintain the general ledger by entering financial data and transactions
Track and reconcile fixed assets
Create, maintain and review financial documents, verifying that data is accurate
Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed
Ensure adherence to all established accounting/financial processes
Participate in process improvement initiatives and assist with special projects as needed
This role will report to the Plant Controller and will communicate/coordinate with other accounting team members, both at the GA plant and at other plant locations
