Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of composite lamination from raw material kitting through departure of cured components
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met across production operations
  • Assign work, manage crew scheduling, and monitor team performance in alignment with production needs
  • Train and mentor technicians in composite layup best practices, mold/tool preparation, and material handling
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve processes
  • Maintain tooling readiness and ensure proper material availability for production
  • Enforce company policies and procedures while fostering a positive and accountable team culture
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within lamination and clean room operations
  • Monitor production output and ensure adherence to established manufacturing processes
  • Support process standardization and operational efficiency improvements

Required Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing experience (preferably in composite layup environments)
  • Experience with aerospace composite processes such as VARTM, wet layup, and prepreg (oven/autoclave)
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams of 5-10 employees
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, process specifications, and engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience:
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in AS9100-regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom protocols and composite material handling
  • Experience mentoring and developing production teams
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Technical training or education in composites or manufacturing
