Our client, a leading property management organization, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician (HVAC/Mechanical) to join their team. As a Senior Facilities Technician (HVAC/Mechanical), you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of two prominent properties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, technical proficiency, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Plano, TX

What's the Job?

  • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across two large properties.
  • Perform routine assessments, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on HVAC, generator, UPS systems, and other building infrastructure.
  • Support general maintenance duties, including minor repairs and facilities support tasks, until the team is fully staffed.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot building automation and energy management systems to optimize performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including equipment failures and safety incidents, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; trade school or apprentice program preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial environment.
  • Proficiency with HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, generators, and building automation systems.
  • Trade licenses such as electrician, refrigeration, or boiler licenses may be required depending on jurisdiction.
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with CMMS platforms like FAMIS 360 is advantageous.
