What L.A. Hydro-Jet Needs

As a Payroll Specialist at L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service, Inc.

You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting HR-related payroll functions. You will work closely with HR and Finance to maintain payroll integrity, resolve employee payroll inquiries, and ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and verify timekeeping information.
• Calculate and process payroll accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
• Manage employee payroll files and documentation.
• Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate deduction and enrollment processes.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Implement and enforce company policies related to payroll.dummynbsp;
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports for management.
• Provide financial reports related to payroll as needed.
• Assist with additional HR-related responsibilities as needed

What Sets You Apart…

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) – REQUIRED
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll-focused role
• Strong knowledge of California payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience working with payroll software and systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with HR and Finance teams

L.A. Hydro-Jet compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $85,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. L.A. Hydro-Jet compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
