Creative Director - Design
Landmark Properties is seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Director to lead our team of designers and oversee all aspects of brand visioning and design strategy. This role is a unique blend of strategic vision, operational leadership, and hands-on design expertise. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity, streamline workflows, and produce exceptional creative deliverables that align with our brand identity and guidelines. You'll guide a talented team shaping ideas that connect with people while staying close enough to the work to move it forward yourself. This role champions bold thinking and strategic storytelling, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution to create work that reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence. By partnering with cross-functional teams, this leader will ensure consistent creativity across all channels and a best-in-class go-to-market process and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties and responsibilities are an outline and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the department change, duties may be modified.
- Own and evolve the creative vision for our brands and individual communities
- Steward brand standards for our entire portfolio-ensuring the way our communities are designed, presented, and experienced is cohesive across marketing, print, on-site environmental applications, and resident-facing experiences.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all creative output while allowing for local market relevance
- Establish and evolve the visual and experiential identity of our entire portfolio, shaping architectural finishes, interiors, amenity environments, and environmental graphics to support leasing performance and long-term brand equity.
- Ensure all marketing and digital touchpoints accurately reflect the physical product, guiding photography, renderings, wayfinding, interiors, amenity spaces, and lifestyle imagery across websites, social platforms, and launch materials so the marketed experience aligns with the on-site reality.
- Partner cross-functionally with development, marketing, leasing, and operations teams to align design intent with project strategy, construction timelines, and business goals-
- maintaining creative integrity from early concept through opening and ongoing marketing execution
- Collaborate with internal teams by participating in market tours and using firsthand research to inform design proposals and creative direction.
- Collaborate with marketing, leasing, operations, and development teams to ensure creative accurately represents the product and supports business needs
- Collaborate with internal partners (marketing, development, operations) to support creative needs and maintain consistency across channels and communities.
- Coordinate with vendors as needed to help keep projects moving, especially during high-volume leasing and pre-leasing periods.
- Support creative quality control by reviewing deliverables for accuracy, brand alignment, and production readiness prior to release or installation.
- Contribute to leasing performance by delivering highquality creative work that supports lead quality, tours, and occupancy across student housing communities.
- Uphold strong creative standards and brand consistency with close attention to detail across all marketing, digital, and builtenvironment deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows and systems to support efficiency, consistency, and stronger execution across projects
Education Requirements
- 15+ years of creative design experience, with a strong background in interior design, brand, marketing, or environmental design within an in-house or firm setting.
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates high-quality execution, including brand expression, campaign assets, and multi-channel creative work.
- Experience in student housing, real estate, hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer-focused brands strongly preferred.
- A strong creative point of view, paired with an understanding of how design supports product positioning, leasing, and overall business goals.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and contribute thoughtfully to creative discussions.
