Prep cook

Kikka sushi is looking for a dependable Prep Cook / Line Cook  / Team member who will provide great customer service in the Whole Foods Market located at: 1420 W State Route 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336.

Full time, 4 - 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts (plus an hour unpaid meal break) working between 6:00 am – 6:00 and must work all Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.  OR

Part Time, 2 - 3 days a week, 8 hour shifts, working between 6:00 am – 6:00 and must work all Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.  

The Prep Cook / Line Cook will make sushi in advance and made to order per the customer's request.  Don’t know how to make sushi, no problem, we will teach you! The team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.

To thrive in this job you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn’t an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English. 

Qualifications:

• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
• Flexible morning and evening availability
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be 18 years of age or older

Pay: $15.15 per hour, no tips.

Preferred experience...

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
• Food handling experience and food handler certification
