Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a long-term care pharmacy environment. This role involves accurately entering prescription data into the pharmacy system and supporting customer service needs with professionalism and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy systemRespond to customer inquiries and resolve medication-related questionsCollaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational efficiencyAdhere to all safety, privacy, and compliance regulations, including HIPAAMaintain professional standards in attendance, conduct, and dress codeParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assigned based on business needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredActive pharmacy technician license/certification as required by state regulationsMinimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician (long-term care experience preferred)Familiarity with brand/generic medications and SIG codesProficient in alpha-numeric data entry and basic mathAbility to read and interpret prescription information accuratelyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods (710 hours per day)Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, or walkingMay be required to lift or move up to 30 poundsFlexibility to work extended hours as needed
