Job Description
New Model Launch Support
Support Chassis Seibi activities for new model launches at Toyota manufacturing plants and supplier facilities
Confirm that new or modified welding equipment performs to Toyota production standards
Assist with installation, setup, and validation of manufacturing equipment prior to start of production (SOP)
Robotics & Welding Systems
Perform offline and online robot programming
Support arc welding / MIG welding robotic equipment
Inspect and confirm robot weld paths, tooling, fixtures, and equipment performance
Troubleshoot robotic weld systems and assist with equipment adjustments
Equipment Preparation & Confirmation
Prepare and confirm Body Chassis equipment at supplier and vendor locations
Verify equipment installation meets project specifications and quality standards
Assist with equipment testing, adjustments, and process confirmation
Project & Team Support
Communicate project status and issues with Seibi team members, project leaders, and plant management
Participate in problem solving, kaizen activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support On-the-Job Training (OJT) with team members during project activities
Maintain adherence to Toyota standardized work and safety requirements
Extensive travel required to NAMCs and supplier facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
Potential international travel including Japan
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays during equipment installation and launch activities
Trade school, technical school, or robotics program education
OR recent graduate from a welding, robotics, or manufacturing technology program
Hands-on experience with arc welding / MIG welding processes
Basic understanding of industrial robotics and automation systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read equipment drawings and manufacturing documentation
Experience supporting automotive manufacturing or welding systems
Robot programming experience (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, or similar)
Experience with robotic welding cells, fixtures, and tooling
Previous experience supporting new model launch or Seibi activities
Robotics programming
MIG / Arc welding systems
Equipment installation & validation
Manufacturing troubleshooting
Team collaboration
Continuous improvement (Kaizen)
