Elementary Librarian Technician- Warder Park Wayne Elementary School

Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Elementary Library Technician at Warder Park Wayne Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Elementary Library Technician, you are required to:

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Post high school work related to library functions or equivalent
• Experience and/or training in the operation of computers and with technology
• (Must possess) or able to obtain an Educational Aide Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education

As a Elementary Library Technician, you will:

• Assisting students in locating books and information
• Working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System
• Supporting students in developing appropriate researching skills
• Operating and maintaining computerized circulation system
• Creating an inviting atmosphere within the library and surrounding area
• Assisting teachers and other staff in locating classroom materials
• Tracking issuance and return of books and materials
• Assisting with emergency preparedness drills
• Attending professional development
• Performs other duties as assigned

What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 7 hours per day, 197 days per year.
Monday - Friday 7:45am - 3:15pm

Starting salary is $21.12 per hour
