Environmental Project Estimator (Remote)

Bluestone Environmental, Inc., a hazardous material removal company based in Bridgeview, Illinois, is seeking an experienced environmental project estimator. This position involves visiting job sites, developing a scope-of-work for each project, writing proposals, managing projects, and more. Experience in estimating environmental projects, fire and water restoration projects, or construction projects is necessary.

Job Description

The estimator position involves:

• Visiting several project sites each day 

• Meeting with potential residential and commercial clients

• Measuring work areas and determining the amount of labor, materials, permits, etc., that are necessary for a project.

• Complying with company policies and guidelines 

• Using Xactimate software to create some estimates

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Knowledge of residential home and commercial building construction

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good project management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Extensive customer service experience

• Solid competency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Candidates must have a good presentation, enjoy working with people, and be comfortable answering questions about their projects.

Candidates must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
