The anesthesiologist will deliver specialized cardiovascular anesthesia services for complex cardiac surgical procedures including open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases at this premier Level I trauma and academic medical center. The clinician must possess TEE certification with cardiac anesthesiology fellowship training preferred for managing high-acuity cardiac cases. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre-operative assessments, providing expert intraoperative anesthesia management, and coordinating post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients. The position requires 24-hour call coverage with continuous availability for emergency cardiac surgical interventions while occasionally assisting with general OR cases as needed to support comprehensive facility operations.
