Senior Estimator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate plans, specifications, and geotechnical data with a proactive risk approach
• Conduct site visits and pre-bid assessments
• Determine optimal scopes: self-perform vs subcontract
• Develop and distribute subcontractor/vendor bid packages
• Build detailed estimates using HCSS HeavyBid (takeoffs, assemblies, production rates)
• Analyze and level subcontractor quotes; recommend awards
• Lead internal bid reviews and pricing strategy discussions
• Support DBE/SBE participation requirements when applicable
• Help position the company competitively to win targeted work

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, roadway, or transportation projects
• Strong knowledge of grading, paving, concrete, and infrastructure scopes
• Advanced proficiency with:
• HCSS HeavyBid (required)
• AGTEK, OST, Primavera P6, Excel or similar tools
• Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to leadership
