Job Description

The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the assigned production area is within Bosch's guidelines for safety, efficiency, profitability and quality of product and that assigned area is maintaining all required Quality, Production, Cost and Control of personnel. The Production Manager will be part of the "A" team of leaders and personnel who are focused on achieving continuous improvement via manufacturing a safe and healthy work environment. Most importantly, the Production Manager is a valued team member of an elite group dedicated to meeting all Bosch operational requirements while assuring that all the Bosch leadership Guidelines and Code of Ethics are fully met.

How you will do it

  • Directs Production Supervisors assigned to area of control to achieve a continual awareness of safety, quality, efficiency and utilize teamwork and focus to ensure that all members assigned to their area of command feel involved and important to the success of the area.
  • Ensures all activities assigned to their area meet Bosch manufacturing and personnel guidelines, as well as meet all safety, quality and efficiency requirements assigned by local leadership.
  • Leads their team of Supervisors and support personnel to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production requirements and operational goals using lean manufacturing practices coupled with the use of continuous improvements activities.
  • Promotes an environment of inclusion and value to all members of their assigned team.
  • Remains productive towards the people assigned to area of responsibility ensuring compliance to all Bosch personnel training and leadership guidelines.
  • Oversees, monitors and develops all personnel assigned to their area.
  • Drives the Bosch manufacturing systems throughout the entire area assigned.
  • Develops and executes real time problems solving methodology to promote a continuous improvement environment thru out assigned area of responsibility.
  • Expected to be a leader who uses and supports a total team mentality when dealing with issues, challenges and solutions with the everyday activities in the plant.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Production Manager/Production Supervisor in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite.


Preferred:

  • Experience and certification in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
