Orem Pediatric Dentistry specializes in providing comprehensive dental care exclusively for children and teenagers. Our practice is dedicated to creating a welcoming, friendly environment that promotes positive dental experiences for young patients and their families. Hours for this position: Mon: 7:30am to 5:30pm, Tues.: 9:00am to 2:00pm, Wed: 8:30am to 7:00pm, Thurs: 8:00am to 6:00 pm. Fri (General Anesthesia Day):5:45am to 3:00pm. Every 3rd Saturday of the month: 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Finance and Scheduling Specialist to join our team. This vital role combines financial management, appointment scheduling, and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with office management tools to enhance our practice’s efficiency. Also one who is skilled in being positive smiles while talking to parents/patients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the practice’s financial transactions using Dentrix, including billing, invoicing, and bookkeeping tasks.
- Oversee appointment scheduling and calendar management to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times.
- Serve as the front desk receptionist, greeting patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Handle multi-line phone systems, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate data entry records, file documents systematically, and perform proofreading to ensure error-free communication.
- Support office management duties such as organizing supplies, managing filing systems, and maintaining a clean reception area.
- Assist with general administrative tasks including calendar updates, correspondence, and patient support activities.

Experience
- Prior office experience in a healthcare or dental setting is required..
- Demonstrated clerical experience with proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace applications.
- Experience with phone etiquette, customer service, and data entry is essential for success in this role.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of dental receptionist duties such as appointment scheduling, insurance processing, and personal assistant tasks is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
