Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Manager to join our team. This role involves coordinating and mentoring construction teams to implement effective safety measures, performing risk assessments, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain safety programs and ensure zero incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide direction, training, and mentoring to onsite construction teams to implement effective safety measures.
  • Perform risk assessments on retrofit projects and generate safe work execution plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor safety programs on project sites and maintain good working relationships.
  • Facilitate incident investigation, root cause analysis, and reporting for corrective actions.
  • Engage in maintaining cross-functional relationships to enhance safety efforts.
  • Ensure internal processes are followed and align expectations on delivery timelines.
  • Develop robust safety processes and standards with internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand safety and quality control impacts of new designs, materials, and construction methods.
  • Participate and assist with on-site training to enhance safety efforts.
  • Integrate into the construction sequence on site to facilitate best-in-class safety performance.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a mission-critical environment with proactive safety methodologies.
  • Experience within a comprehensive safety program.
  • Success in implementing Environmental Health Safety enhancement programs.
  • Ability to partner with team members and contractors to implement change.
  • Industry knowledge of design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems for data center construction.
  • Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including fast-track design-build processes.
  • Familiarity with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certifications recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST) are preferred.
  • Experience working within an OCIP environment.
  • Experience with retrofit projects in live mission-critical environments.

Work Environment

This position is primarily site-based with travel required between 0-30% to gain knowledge and support where needed. The work involves engaging in construction safety and risk management, and requires effective integration into the construction sequence to ensure a safe work environment. The role operates within an OCIP environment and involves maintaining cross-functional relationships to foster cooperation and enhance safety endeavors.

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $105.00/hr.
