The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient education. This role will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery and will prescribe medications, perform procedures, and manage chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will also maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

How YOU can Make an Impact:

Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to inmates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.

Perform assessments, diagnose, and treat patients, including prescribing medication and ordering appropriate tests.

Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information/history, upholding HIPAA regulations and medical ethics.

Participate in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and ensure they are followed in a timely manner.

Participate in Call-by-Phone coverage rotation as needed, including after-hours care.

Support staff development through guidance, mentorship, and ongoing education to promote a high standard of care.

Promote good working relationships within the medical team and across other disciplines and departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Approach changes positively, motivating the team to embrace improvements and accept constructive feedback to enhance the work environment.

Respect and follow the facility's safety, infection control, and operational policies, ensuring a safe and effective healthcare environment.

What we Ask of YOU:

Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Master's Degree, or higher, in a primary care clinical discipline (FNP, ANP, AGNP, ENP or similar) from an accredited training program.

Active and unrestricted DEA Registrat current, valid DEA registration, if applicable.

Experience working in a correctional setting or other setting with underserved cohorts is helpful.

Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved) prior to Start Date.
