Director of S&OP

Are you looking to take on a strategic leadership role driving enterprise-wide demand and supply planning decisions? This exciting opportunity as a Director of S&OP is responsible for leading the Sales & Operations Planning process to improve service levels, inventory productivity, and working capital performance. This role serves as the integrator across Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Finance, translating demand signals and operational constraints into executable supply and inventory strategies that support profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process including demand review, supply review, and executive alignment meetings.
• Drive cross-functional decision-making on demand and supply trade-offs impacting service levels, inventory, and capacity planning.
• Translate commercial demand forecasts and operational constraints into actionable supply, procurement, and inventory plans.
• Identify, quantify, and escalate supply chain risks, gaps, and operational constraints with recommended mitigation strategies.
• Ensure accountability across functions for S&OP commitments, planning assumptions, and execution outcomes.
• Continuously improve S&OP governance, cadence, analytical rigor, and decision-making discipline.
• Serve as the enterprise planning integrator across Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Improve OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance, inventory productivity, and working capital efficiency through disciplined planning processes.
• Escalate unresolved operational trade-offs and cross-functional misalignment to executive leadership with clear recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Five (5) + years of experience in S&OP, supply chain planning, operations planning, or procurement within complex distribution or B2B environments.
• Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and capacity planning trade-offs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning processes and executive-level decision forums.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex supply chain data into actionable insights.
• Executive presence with strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strategic mindset with strong operational and financial understanding including inventory exposure and working capital impact.
• Experience improving service levels, inventory productivity, and working capital performance.
