Our client, a leader in the engineering and data center industry, is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer Facility (Level 1 or Level 2) to join their team. As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, which will align successfully in the organization.
About the Role
The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer supports facility operations across largescale cloud data centers, ensuring safety, reliability, and overall operational performance. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for earlycareer engineering, militarytechnical, or facilities professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical infrastructure
- Oversee shift technicians, vendors, and contractors
- Partner with IT/business teams on capacity, efficiency, and safety
- Operate and maintain critical systems, including:
- UPS systems, switchgear, generators
- Cooling towers, chillers
- CRAC/CRAH units
- Power distribution equipment
- Building management/monitoring systems
- Manage on-site inventory and assets
- Support facility build-outs and improvement projects
- Maintain performance logs, reports, and operational documentation
- Deliver reliable, high-quality facility support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or Military/Trade School technical background
- 02 years relevant technical experience
- 02 years leadership or supervisory exposure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced operational environment
- 02 years data center operations or critical facilities experience
- Engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- Basic understanding of network layouts , lowvoltage cabling (fiber/copper)
