Experienced Urologist Needed - Brown Urology Academic Appointment - Guaranteed Robotics Time

Brown University Health, the largest healthcare provider in Rhode Island, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced urologist with interest in robotic surgery. Working on the main campus of Newport Hospital you will enjoy guaranteed robotic time and access to the most innovative endourology technology. We provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care to patients with a wide range of urologic disorders. Busy general and gyn surgery colleagues on site.

About the job

• Working as the lead urologist at Newport Hospital you will enjoy a robust practice and the support of an experienced advanced practice provider

• The larger group consists of 19 other urologists, 3 uro-oncoloigsts and 7 experienced advanced practice providers with shared call coverage

• Supportive clinical team includes a dedicated MA and RNs as needed

• Full use of the latest endourologic technology

• 4 clinical blocks per week, 1 block of protected time

• First assist available

• Follow up done by the advanced practice provider

• Academic appointment to Brown with clinical teaching responsibilities

• Triaged call (with urologists from group, fellows and APPs taking first call), minimal weekends per year and 4 weeknights per month. Paid call opportunity
