Position Overview

We're seeking a versatile, tech-savvy Ecommerce Warehouse & Customer Service Specialist who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. This is not your typical warehouse role—it's a technology-enabled ecommerce position with tremendous growth potential. You'll be an integral part of our operations team, managing everything from order fulfillment and inventory to customer service and third-party supplier coordination. The ideal candidate combines physical capability of working in a warehouse with technical aptitude, passion for the outdoors with attention to detail, and enjoys variety in their daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment

  • Pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory from suppliers
  • Maintain organized warehouse operations and inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers on order fulfillment and logistics
  • Navigate shipping logistics across multiple carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS)
  • Handle firearms and ammunition in compliance with FFL regulations and safety protocols
  • Perform quality control checks on outgoing shipments
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

Customer Service & Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and Zendesk ticketing system
  • Resolve customer issues related to orders, shipping, returns, and product questions
  • Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims efficiently
  • Provide product knowledge and recommendations for outdoor sporting goods
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
  • Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records

Technology & Systems Management

  • Utilize Warehouse Management System (SellerCloud) for inventory and order processing
  • Manage orders and product listings across Shopify platform
  • Navigate multiple ecommerce systems and marketplace integrations
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues with applications and equipment
  • Adapt to new technologies and software platforms as business evolves
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency (preferred)

Marketplace Coordination

  • Communicate with third-party suppliers regarding order status and inventory
  • Coordinate drop-ship orders and track fulfillment timelines
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed
  • Assist with vendor relationship management and logistics coordination

Required Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift
  • Capable of working in warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Manual dexterity for packing, shipping, and handling small parts

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with computers, email, and web-based applications
  • Comfortable learning new software platforms and technology systems
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail in data entry
  • Basic troubleshooting abilities for common technical issues
  • Experience with customer service software (Zendesk or similar) preferred

Experience & Background

  • 2+ years experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operations
  • Customer service experience via phone, email, or ticketing systems
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WMS systems, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Background in outdoor sporting goods, hunting, or firearms industry helpful
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass background check required for FFL compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies
  • Experience with inventory management or WMS platforms (SellerCloud, ShipStation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of firearms, hunting, fishing, or outdoor recreation equipment
  • Previous ecommerce or marketplace operations experience
  • Shipping and logistics coordination experience
  • Multi-channel customer support experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

Work Environment
