Pay Range - $50 - $55/hr

One of our clients is looking for an Observability Engineer (OpenTelemetry / Grafana / Kubernetes) to join their team in Columbus, OH.

Key Responsibilities

Build and enhance observability dashboards based on operational and business requirements
Monitor and maintain system health and stability across environments
Analyze logs, traces, and metrics to identify and resolve production issues
Implement and manage OpenTelemetry pipelines including collectors, receivers, processors, and exporters
Provide rotating on-call support for production systems
Manage observability-related IT projects, documentation, and process improvements
Coordinate work across cross-functional engineering and operations teams
Implement system changes with testing, validation, and proper deployment planning
Ensure systems comply with IT and security policies
Stay current with observability platforms and cost optimization strategies
Design and implement new monitoring and telemetry visibility solutions

Required Qualifications

3 5 years of relevant engineering or observability experience
Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry (instrumentation, collectors, pipelines)
Strong experience with Grafana dashboards and monitoring
Experience with Kubernetes-based environments
Experience working with observability tools analyzing logs, metrics, and traces
Familiarity with SQL and Python scripting
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with Datadog or Splunk
Experience with edge computing environments
Experience supporting restaurant POS systems
Bachelor's degree preferred
