Job DetailsJob Location: Maryland Office - Hunt Valley, MD 21030Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 HourlyWallace Montgomery is searching for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. The HR Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource process at all business locations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. Human Resources Coordinators require tact and diplomacy. They have official contact with every other member of the firm and occasionally speak to clients.

Essential Functions:

Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.

Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

Completes Forms 1-9, verifies 1-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.

Submits online investigation requests and conducts new-employee background checks.

Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.

Assists with processing terminations.

Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.

Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS, sets up interviews, and conducts interviews as necessary.

Schedules meetings and trainings as requested.

Files documents into appropriate employee files.

Prepares new-employee files.

Conducts new hire orientation.

Performs tracking function for employee training and certification.

Complete registration and coordinate hosting of webinars and/or in-house trainings as necessary

Propose, develop, and foster new employee engagement initiatives that will increase workplace happiness and efficiency.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

At least two years related experience required

SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
