Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
A brand new state of the art veterinary hospital opening in summer 2026 in West Jordan, Utah is seeking a Medical Director to lead the launch and development of the practice. This opportunity offers the chance to shape the clinical direction of a modern hospital built from the ground up, combining general practice, urgent care, dentistry and surgery within a collaborative and growth focused environment. The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to lead a new hospital while continuing to practice high quality medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital will operate seven days a week from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Scheduling will be structured to ensure consistent patient access to care while maintaining a balanced and sustainable workload for the veterinary team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will guide the clinical and cultural direction of the hospital while also practicing as a veterinarian within the team. Responsibilities include delivering general practice and urgent care services alongside dentistry and surgical procedures, mentoring veterinarians and support staff, and helping establish strong clinical protocols within the new hospital. The role will also involve supporting hospital performance, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, and contributing to the long-term growth and development of the practice.

Practice Details
This brand new freestanding veterinary hospital will be purpose built with approximately 4,000 square feet of clinical space designed to support modern veterinary medicine. The hospital will include advanced diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasound and dedicated treatment areas, with future expansion planned to add an additional 4,000 square feet of clinical space. This expansion will allow the Medical Director to help shape the hospital's future services, potentially including advanced diagnostics, expanded surgical capacity, or additional urgent care facilities aligned with their professional interests.

Team
The hospital will launch with a developing veterinary team supported by technicians and dedicated support staff, with the Medical Director playing a key role in building, mentoring and growing the team as the practice establishes itself within the community.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
