Tax Accountant

Azer, Driscoll & DeSimone, LLC is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to assist our team during the current tax season for immediate hire. This position requires a knowledgeable and detail-oriented professional who can efficiently prepare individual and fiduciary income tax returns while working collaboratively with our in-office team.

This is an in-office position located in Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040) and related schedules

• Prepare fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041) for trusts and estates

• Review client documentation and identify missing or incomplete information

• Evaluate filing requirements and determine when extensions are appropriate

• Prepare and process federal and state tax extensions

• Communicate with firm staff regarding client information and tax issues

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with current federal and state tax laws

• Assist with tax projections and follow-up items as needed during tax season

Qualifications

• Prior tax preparation experience required

• Strong working knowledge of Form 1040 and Form 1041 tax preparation

• Experience evaluating filing requirements and preparing tax extensions

• Ability to analyze client information and identify potential tax issues

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work efficiently under tax season deadlines

• Professional communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

• Experience with professional tax preparation software preferred

Work Schedule

• In-office position in Princeton, NJ

• Seasonal position during tax season, until April 15th

• Additional hours, evenings, and weekends may be requested
