Experience:
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 22 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Required Skill/Experience:- Required Skills: MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Neurological/Psychiatric, Oncology, Plastics, Surgical drains, Respiratory, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Tracheostomy care/management, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management
Minimum 2 + years of high acuity Med Surg Tele level or higher
Preferred Skills/Experience:- Oncology experience.- Teaching hospital experience.- Preferred Skills: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Accessing/Managing Ports, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Administration of chemotherapy, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Mastectomy, Skin grafts, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions/PPE
Unit / Facility Details:- Patient Ratio: PCU is 1/3, can be 1/4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1/4 but can be 1/5- Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID
Special Requests:- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.- Can not apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
Shift & Scheduling:- Weekends are variable based on unit needs.- Self-Schedule Requests: You will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule- If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the departments needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.- Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
Floating Requirements:- Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including: BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Corrections Healthcare.
14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days
1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
