Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT with Jackson Therapy Partners. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while exploring a new location.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Texas Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred. (If not currently held, obtain prior to start.)
• Acute care experience required. Candidates without acute care experience will not be considered.
• ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, discharge planning, and family education preferred.
• Experience working with DME and assistive devices such as Barton chair, Sara Stedy, standing frame, and cardiac walker preferred.
• Ability to work in Meditech EMR preferred.
• Flexible team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to float to inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) and acute rehab units (ARU) as needed.

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Days.
• Shift hours: 0800-1630.
• Typical patient ratio: approximately 1:810.
• Unit census: 240 beds; team staffing approximately 1416 PT/OTs on day shift.
• Equipment commonly used: DME, Barton chair, Sara Stedy, standing frame, cardiac walker.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Dress code: olive green scrub top and black scrub bottoms.
• Weekend schedule: rotating weekends.
