Note to Candidates:
We strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described . Habitat is an organization committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization which means that we recognize that sometimes the best candidate may have a less traditional background. We acknowledge that requirements for educational and experience minimums create invisible barriers for historically oppressed populations in pursuit of employment. Combined with our equity practices, we focus on candidates' abilities to excel within the responsibilities of the position, based on their experience found inside and outside formal education and/or work history. We welcome applicants from all communities, and strongly encourage Black, indigenous, and people of color, women, people with disabilities, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply for this position.
Who You Are:
You're someone who is fascinated by what inspires donors to give, and love building genuine relationships with them. You're comfortable connecting with donors over the phone, at in-person events, and in one-on-one meetings bringing curiosity and creativity to every interaction.
You're at your best when you're solving problems, managing development projects, and using our CRM as a key tool to guide your work. You appreciate efficient processes but also know that donor relationships aren't a onesizefitsall. You navigate that nuance with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.

You work closely with Major Gifts, Communications, Volunteer Programs, and other program staff to elevate donor participation, visibility, and impact.

This includes supervising the Development Database Administrator and Gift Processing Specialist, ensuring data integrity, creating donor analytics tools, and refining processes that support departmentwide fundraising effectiveness. You also oversee our Direct Marketing program partnership, coordinating national and local alignment and deepening donor engagement through a structured and strategic programmanagement lens.
