Production Supervisor

1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm
3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs, 11pm-7:30am

Responsibilities:

• Champion the production of safe, high ? quality products and uphold a strong safety culture for all team members.
• Provide clear leadership and direction to the team, ensuring all policies and procedures for equipment sanitation and product manufacturing are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day ? to ? day operational issues to maintain workflow efficiency and product quality.
• Plan and allocate labor and resources to consistently meet or exceed production and quality goals.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members by setting performance expectations and delivering regular, constructive feedback.
• Oversee training programs and reinforce safety, sanitation protocols, GMPs, and company policies.
• Review labor usage, supply consumption, chemical usage, and disposal costs to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
• Manage weekly staffing schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping submissions for payroll.
• Create and implement performance improvement plans and administer corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain proactive, respectful working relationships with UAW representatives and Joint Operations Leadership Team (JOLT) partners.
• Promote and model company safety and GMP standards to maintain a clean, compliant production environment.
• Lead team-related processes including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary or coaching discussions.
• Maintain flexibility in personal scheduling based on business needs, operational hours, special events, or project demands.
• Demonstrate strong reading and comprehension skills for proper chemical handling and interpretation of recipes, ingredient specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate cleaning schedules and sanitation projects in partnership with the Maintenance team.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing with leadership responsibility. Dairy operations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Dairy or Food Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of employment laws and OSHA safety regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Planning/Scheduling skills with the ability to think ahead and plan for short and long term
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and inspire performance results
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Should be flexible working in 1st and 3rd shift
